THE 10/40 WINDOW: GETTING TO THE CORE OF THE CORE, from AD2000 & Beyond’s archived web site.
The core of the unreached people of our world live in a rectangular-shaped window! Often called “The Resistant Belt”, the window extends from West Africa to East Asia, from ten degrees north to forty degrees north of the equator. This specific region, which has increasingly become known as The 10/40 Window, encompasses the majority of the world’s Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists — billions of spiritually impoverished souls. AFFINITY BLOCS AND PEOPLE CLUSTERS by Patrick Johnstone
The Great Commission is unequivocal: we are to disciple all the ethnic groups in the world! For 25 years we have struggled to define, classify and list the world’s people groups. Only in the last six years have we had in our hands reasonably complete, published lists of the people groups of the world. The results are extraordinary, but complex.

A report produced in 2013 by researchers at the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, South Hamilton, Massachusetts, offers a timely overview of the changing demographics of Christianity and Christians’ activities over the past 40 years while looking forward to the next ten. If current trends continue, what will be the state of the world in 2020? Who will be the neighbors of Christians, and what issues will they be facing together? Here we summarize the key findings from the full report, which is available for PDF download at http://www.globalchristianity.org/globalcontext.
Published for Lausanne, this document has a considerable number of statistical overviews.
FINISH THE TASK: THE UNREACHED PEOPLES CHALLENGE, by Ralph D. Winter & Bruce Koch
God’s promise to bless all the “families of the earth,” first given to Abraham 4,000 years ago, is becoming a reality at a pace “you would not believe.” Although some may dispute some of the details, the overall trend is indisputable. Biblical faith is growing and spreading to the ends of the earth as never before in history.
ATLAS OF GLOBAL CHRISTIANITY by Todd Johnson and Kenneth Ross
A thorough visual reference of the changing status of global Christianity over the 100 years since the epoch-making ‘Edinburgh 1910’ World Missionary Conference. It is the first scholarly atlas to depict the 20th century shift of Christianity from the Global North to the Global South. Contextual information on world issues and world religions is included. The atlas is ecumenical in that it covers every Christian tradition including Anglicans, Independents, Marginals, Orthodox, Protestants, and Roman Catholics. This is the first atlas to incorporate historical essays on Christianity 1910-2010 by scholars from each region of the world. Included is a CD that contains all maps and graphs ready for classroom use.
